White Label...
This is an oldie.
I dug it out of an old portfolio earlier this week.
About 20 years ago I got right into the underground
Rave / Drum and Bass scene that was emerging in Britain.
A few of my friends were DJ'ing at the time and
they had masses of White Label Vinyl's.
Some awesome tunes if my memory serves me well.
Many of these tunes would come in a blank cardboard sleeve.
Well to me, a blank canvas is a blank canvas.
So I picked one up and started to doodle.
This is what appeared.
I thought I would share it.

Don't Smoke It...
Currently working down in Devon with Wolf and Water Arts Company.
Staying and working with some dear friends of mine.
There is a lot of artwork, design, and creativity happening.
Having a great time too.

Quick Splash...
This was a quick image I made working with a
group of year 9 students recently.
The object was to try and loosen up the creative process.
This image was produced in less than 1 minute using Ink and Biro pen.
I did a very quick line drawing, which was an observation
from a photograph, and then quickly added the colour
using a thick ink flooded brush, (Blue, Green and Red).
I used it as an example to get the students to be
less precious about trying to get an immaculate image.
Working quickly can sometimes throw up interesting
quirks and striking imagery.
They went on to produce some great work.

Emelbi Friday Polaroid #07...
Transe Express - Festival of Light
French theatre company Transe Express
performed Lâcher de Violons (Freeing the Violins)
in St George's Square, Huddersfield tonight.
It was an awesome spectacle of drummers, trapeze artists
and musicians suspended high above the gathering crowds.
