Words 'n' Wordz...

I have been playing a three word poetry game with a few friends of mine.

The concept is this:

You write three words, pass it on, someone else writes three more words and they pass it on, someone else writes the closing three words. There are no strict rules. You could go on and on and have a massive poem but I have found that the three lines are more punchy, powerful and poignant. The hardest job is writing the closing line (the punch line if you like). Anyway it is great fun if you like wordplay. We have done it with six words over three lines too. Here are some of the results! Enjoy.

-

Conquest made sane
Insanity pursues conquest
Conquest buggers all.

-

Boredom pursued happiness
With such vigour
He became happy

-

A tiny grin
Faded into submission
Such was truth.

-

When we connected
Morning had broken
And my hymen

-

The fallen rise
The Berlin wall
The reason falls

-

Motive not apparent
Merely an aspirant
Learning to be.

-

Little, big fish
Filthy shaven perverts
Praise the Bic.

-

It was a classic car tarnished,
Sun cracked, gravel rash and plaque
First time our daughter met crack.

-

I said yes. It meant shit.
So often it had meant something!
A time I asked "did it?"

-

He stole the keys and fled.
Took the soft-top, left the slut.
Slut got house, car wrote off!
